Consists of eight autograph letters signed by Lucretia R. Garfield to Col. and Mrs. A.F. Rockwell in St. Paul, Minnesota. Garfield relates family news and discusses the publication of the campaign speeches of 1880, the election of 1888, and Miss Porter's Farmington school in the letters dated 1884-1890. All eight letters are on stationery with mourning borders and seven are complete with envelopes with mourning borders.
